Excellent quality and fine preservation. 6 ½” overall. Flattened cow horn body with beveled edges. Brass over wood top and bottom secured with iron pins. Fine-turned horn spout with iron cutoff. Excellent with a little minor graining/lifting of the horn. The state of preservation indicates that this example was probably kept in a European hunting lodge where it was periodically polished along with the other weapons and accouterments. The contents of many of those lodges were sold between the wars and after WWII.
